Bursa Malaysia adds 16 new constituents to FTSE4Good Index

KUALA LUMPUR, June 14 (Bernama) -- Bursa Malaysia has announced 16 new additions to the constituents of the FTSE4Good Bursa Malaysia (F4GBM) Index in the latest review period of June 2019, bringing the total number of constituents to 71.

In a statement today, it said the inclusions to the constituents were Chemical Company of Malaysia Bhd, Deleum Bhd, Fraser & Neave Holdings Bhd, Parkson Holdings Bhd, George Kent (M) Bhd, Ranhill Holdings Bhd, Hektar REIT and UMW Holdings Bhd.

The others are Hong Leong Financial Group Bhd, Velesto Energy Bhd, Lafarge Malaysia Bhd, Yinson Holdings Bhd, Carlsberg Brewery Malaysia Bhd, Magnum Bhd, Media Chinese International and Media Prima.

All constituent changes take effect at the start of business on June 24

Meanwhile, there will be one exclusion, namely Unisem (M) Bhd in the latest review

"Through our outreach programmes, the exchange will step up efforts to engage with companies and help them improve sustainability practices and disclosures.

"We aim to create a positive impact while also raising the quality and diversity of companies across the board,” said Bursa Malaysia chief executive officer, Datuk Muhamad Umar Swift.
